About the Show
Rooted in sacred Indian mythology, Mohana Krishna is a Bharatanãtyam dance ballet on Lord Krishna, knit in the gripping spectacle of theatrical props, music, costumes and lighting. It takes the viewer on a kaleidoscopic journey through age old classical tales, told through the medium of traditional dance and music. In this production, over 15 dancers of Natyanjali Academy of Dance bring to life the various facets of Lord Krishna such as an endearing prankster, a supreme God-child and a divine hero. The production includes excerpts from ”Nalayira Divya Prabhandam”, a collection of 4000 pasurams (verses) from 8th Century AD, composed by 12 noted Vaishnava saints (Azhwars) in praise of Lord Vishnu.
