About Natyanjali Academy of Dance
Natyanjali Academy of Dance, an institution aimed at preserving and propagating the ancient dance form of Bharatanatyam, was founded in 1997 by Smt. Chandrika Chandran in Johns Creek, GA. The academy provides training in the traditional Vazhuvoor and Melattur styles, inculcating the love of dancing into every student and helping to develop in them a deep appreciation for the aesthetics of the dance form. It demands high standards of excellence while instilling a deep respect for Indian culture. Several students from Natyanjali have given their solo, debut performances (Arangetram) since its inception. The students have been sought after for many cultural performances for community events, fundraisers, multicultural festivals etc. The students are regularly exposed to master workshops on the finer nuances of the art form, taught by eminent artistes from the USA and India.
